Microsoft’s program is specifically designed to train and accredit Apple techs and consultants on Microsoft Office for Mac, iOS and Office 365. The half day long accreditation program takes place the day prior to each MacTech Pro in 2015. This newly updated Microsoft accreditation program is training and evaluation focused on the issues every consultant and tech should know when advising on or supporting Microsoft Office for Mac and iOS as well as Office 365, with a focus on Apple users.
All registered attendees to MacTech’s events, are welcome to attend the course, and become accredited, at no charge. Space is limited. If you haven’t already registered for a MacTech Pro event, you can do so now.
New! New name. New content. New apps knowledge.
For Apple users, Microsoft Office is relevant not only to Mac users, but also iOS. As such, for 2015, those that go through the 2015 accreditation program will earn the title “Microsoft Office for Mac and iOS Accredited Support Professional, 2015.”
Microsoft has announced that in the first half of 2015, it will release a public beta for the next version of Office for Mac, and in the second half of 2015, Microsoft will make the final release available. Not only will Office 365 commercial and consumer subscribers get the next version at no additional cost, but Microsoft will also release a perpetual license of Office for Mac in the same timeframe.
The 2015 accreditation course is updated not only with more Office 365 content, but also includes information about the next version of Microsoft Office, what you’ll need to know to support it, and information relevant to upgrading from previous versions.
Learn. Network. Get Accredited.
The new accreditation program covers topics such as the new Office 2016 for Mac previews; installation; Microsoft Apps on Mac and iOS; Office 365 and Office Online; best practices in configuration, preferences, settings and use; licensing options for businesses and consumers; cross platform features; sharing documents with OneDrive, SharePoint, and more; troubleshooting and common questions; available support resources; and more. The accreditation is specifically designed for Apple consultants and techs supporting others using Microsoft Office for Mac and iOS, and Office 365 subscriptions. At the end of the course, attendees will be evaluated on the content presented, and those who demonstrate sufficient knowledge will become a “Microsoft Office for Mac and iOS Accredited Support Professional, 2015.” Once obtained, attendees will receive an accreditation certificate from Microsoft, and be able to display the new accreditation graphic on their web sites and other promotional materials, as well as in their credentials.
